I have never in over 14 years seen such a craze in the beauty industry,, clay.. yea.. clay.. some people call them FIMO canes.. some clay canes.. but all agree this is the hottest nail art to hit the streets, maybe you saw the writeups in either NAILS Magazine or Nailpro Magazine.. hand crafted by artists brought to you by BeautyTech.com Shoppe www.beautytech.com/shoppe FIMO is a brand of clay and the canes used most often for nail art are not always made with Fimo clay

The canes themselves are about 1/4 or 3/8 of an inch in diameter, are usually sold "ready to slice". A VERY sharp blade is needed, the technician take extremely thin slices from the cane and embeds the slice into acrylic or gel then caps it with clear.

OK, I can hear you now whats the big deal? Well let me tell you.. flowers, bugs, fruit, holiday designs.. all unique. BeautyTech Shoppe stocks over 170 different designs. Each cane can yield as many as 70 slices of done properly, and decorate just one nail and you can increase your service ticket.

Some of the designs you see in the picture look like they have a white rings around the outer edge.. thats really transparent clay, so when properly applied you won't see that!
